St. Edwards is a secondary school with the aim of providing a quality education as well as a home to orphaned and vulnerable children. Previously, the school relied solely on a hand pump well that they described as having broken down nearly once or twice per month. When this happens, the children will travel more than a mile through the jungle to collect water from a hole in the ground. Now this well we have drilled has two different points of dispersion where the children of St. Edwards can access clean water! The borehole well that we have drilled together is able to produce more than 5,000 liters per hour, and the population has not just benefited from accessing clean drinking water but also clean water in order to bathe themselves as well as for use in the bathrooms. The well has truly created a life-altering change for thousands and was built in partnership with our friends from the Dig Deeper Foundation at Newman Tractor.
