Gobero was our third community that we supported, and the completion of this well was in partnership with the students of Terrace Park Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio. The village of Gobero is home to more than 2,500 individuals, with a surrounding population of more than 2,000. Previously, the community traveled more than one mile to fetch water from a stream. During the rainy season, the stream would turn into a river, putting the children at risk of drowning, which has already happened twice since we constructed their well. The community no longer uses this stream as a water source, thanks to you all. We were able to build them a modern solar-powered well! This solar-powered well is able to output more than 10,000 liters of safe, clean drinking water every day for the community.
